Mass of Christian Burial for Lillian A. Galbreath, 95, of Rockdale, was held Friday, July 6, 2018, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale with Father Pedro Castillo, Deacon Gus Coelho and Deacon Don Sims officiating. Burial was at Salty Cemetery near Thorndale.

Rosary was recited Thursday, July 5, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mrs. Galbreath died Monday, July 2, at Legacy Nursing Home in Cameron.

She was born Oct. 31, 1922, in Schulenburg to Fred W. and Anna (Meyer) Ueckert.

Mrs. Galbreath attended and graduated from Schulenburg High School.

On July 31, 1948, she married Billy K. Galbreath at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in San Antonio.

Mrs. Galbreath worked as a public school aide and as a school librarian.

She lived in Schulenburg, San Antonio, Seguin, Waco, Austin, Axtell, Smiley, Thorndale and the past 30 years in Rock-dale.

Mrs. Galbreath was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Ladies Society in Rockdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Billy K. Galbreath on May 17, 2018; her parents; her only sister, Marie Emme Eppler in 2001 and her husband, James Alexander Eppler in 1998.

Survivors are two sons, Billy Dale Galbreath and wife Robin of Rockdale, Gary James Galbreath and wife Brenda of New Braunfels; seven grandchildren, Carly Kraenzel and husband Eric of Dripping Springs, Kimberly Marquis and husband Danny of Spring Branch, Kevin Galbreath and wife Rachel of New Braunfels, Courtney Poole and husband Bobby of Kyle, McKenna K. Galbreath of College Station, Kelsey Galbreath of Galveston, and Grant Galbreath of College Station; nine great-grandchildren, Madison and Colton Marquis, Connor, Logan and Bentley Kraenzel, Carson and Harper Galbreath, Tenley and Hailey Poole; and two nieces, Susan Seewald of Austin and Donna Asher of Boerne.

Pallbearers were Grant Galbreath, Kevin Galbreath, Brian Galbreath, Darrell Ogea, Lynn Ogea and Phil Asher.
