Gommert

CAMERON—Wilbert Charles Gommert, 91, of Buckholts died Tuesday, May 21, 2024 ,in a Cameron nursing facility.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, May 25, at Corinth Cemetery pavilion near Buckholts.

Mr. Gommert was born July 18, 1932, in Milam County to Charles and Ida Edna (Hagemeister) Gommert.

He married Betty Jane Janes.

He retired as a supervisor for Temple Products.

Mr. Gommert was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Woodrow Gommert, and by two sisters, Dorothy Price and Lois Orsag.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Gommert of Buckholts; a son, Harvey Gommert and wife Debbie of Cameron; two grandsons, Stetson Gommert and wife Amanda of LaGrange, Colton Gommert and wife Holly of Cameron; and seven great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Lucas, Harper, Jayci, Grayson, Olivia and Naomi.
