Halpain
CAMERON—Virginia “G.G.” Halpain, 59, of Woodville, formerly of Cameron and Rock-dale, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at her residence.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 14, at the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron, with Pastor Gene VanNoord officiating. Burial followed at Liberty Cemetery.
Ms. Halpain was born May 26, 1959, in Texas City to Harvey Edward and Virginia Lucille (Galloway) Shafer.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Dechaume and wife Carrie, and Terry Dechaume, all of Wood-ville; three brothers, Harvey Leroy Shafer and wife Sandra of Milano, Richard Allen Shafer of Fort Stockton, Ronald Dale Shafer of Cameron; three sisters, Janice Mills of Milano, Sally Jo Guthrie of Lampasas, and Rebecca Kay Taylor and husband Larry of Temple; and two grandchildren, Autumn and Matthew Dechaume, both of Wood-ville; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
