Emzy Jerome Hebert, 52, of Austin died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018.

He was born in Fort Worth on Aug. 12, 1966, to L.C. Richards and the late Eula (SansomHe) Hebert. was the caregiver of his grandmother who raised him, Susie Sansom Piper, a longtime Reporter contributor.

Public viewing and flowers can be delivered to 1300 E. 12th St., Austin, TX 78702, from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday.

Celebration of life service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 3417 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, in Austin. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Dr. Barry J.W. “The Shepherd” Franklin, CFSP at A Life Celebration By Franklin in Taylor, will officiate.
