Huff

Gary Huff, 79, of Rockdale died Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at Rockdale Estates Nursing Home.

A graveside service will be held in the summer at Prospect Cemetery in Fayetteville, Tennessee.

Mr. Huff was born in Evansville, Indiana, to Frances Elaine Colbert and Harold Huff.

At the age of 2, he was placed in the care of his grandmother, Maude Colbert, and lived most of his childhood and teenage years with her in Park City, Tennessee.

Mr. Huff attended Prospect School and Blanche High School, then served in the Air Force for four years.

He was a carpenter by trade and was known for his easy-going nature and his love of people.

Mr. Huff moved to Rockdale in 2000 to be near his uncle and best friend, Jack Colbert.

He worked construction until his illness in 2013, when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Mr. Huff was preceded in
