Lorraine Elizabeth King, 73, of Thorndale died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at the Winnie L Nursing Facility in Cameron.
Visitation is set for 10 a.m. to 12-noon Saturday, Dec. 12, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Locklin Cemetery in San Gabriel.
Mrs. King was born Oct. 4, 1947, to Aubrey and Gladys Hazel (Wallinger) Curry in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
She attended First Baptist Church in Thorndale.
Mrs. King enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Hazel Curry; two brothers, Dale A. Curry and Wayne Curry; and a great-grandson, Jordan San Miguel.
Survivors are her husband, Vernon King of Thorndale; children Ronald Wallace Giroux Jr. of Maryland, Yvonne King Cook and husband Richard of Thorndale, Vernon Larry King III and wife Pamela of Carthage; a brother, Donald Curry and wife Joan of Brandywine, Maryland; a sister-in-law, Joyce Curry of Corsicana; and her grandchildren, Tad Cook and wife Valerie, and Tamicka Cook, all of Thorndale, Brandon San Miguel and wife Jordan of Georgetown, Jacob Norton and Harley King, both of Carthage, and Aaron Rutledge and wife Ashlea of Benton, Louisiana; also, 10 great-grandchildren and other extended family.
