Jenny Kay Kubiak was born March 19, 1947, in Temple to Sam Simmons Perry of Lexington and Melba Mignon (Rutherford) Perry of Giddings.
Jenny grew up in Rockdale, attended and graduated from Rockdale High School in 1965. While in high school she served on student counsel.
On July 1, 1966 she and L.B. Kubiak were married in Rockdale. They moved to Mrs. Kubiak
College Station, where Jenny first worked for Dr. Frank Hubart and worked in plant pathology and poultry science departments while getting her master’s degree in elementary education.
After graduation, Jenny taught school one year in Rockdale Kindergarten and Early Childhood for 1-1/2 years in Richardson and then in Taylor I.S.D. in remedial reading. Jenny quit teaching and joyfully became a mother through adoption of two remarkable wonderful children—Lindsay Beth Kubiak on April 6, 1979, and Logan Blair Kubiak on May 9, 1981.
Jenny loved the Lord and was baptized into Christ and served the Lord throughout her life.
Jenny loved music and besides the musical beginning afforded by her greataunt, Sallie Rutherford, she took piano at Blinn College in Brenham for a time.
She is survived by her husband, L.B. Kubiak; daughter Lindsay; and son Logan Kubiak.
She is also survived by a brother, Sam Rutherford Perry of Austin; a sister, Polly Ann Perry Vincent of Carrollton; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family members.
Jenny loved singing, especially hymns in church. She sang at funerals and weddings with her sisters and brothers in Christ. She loved to cook with chicken fried steak being her specialty.
Her dad owned Perry Hardware in Rockdale for many years and she worked part-time in her younger years.
She liked to ride horseback. She loved to vacation in Red River, New Mexico, with her family.
She loved the Lord and put him first in her life in all she did. She strongly believed Hebrews 10:25 and led many to the Lord and the Lord’s Church.
