Kuykendall
CAMERON—Graveside services for Edward M. Kuykendall, 90, were held Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Rice Cemetery in Cameron.
Mr. Kuykendall died Wednesday, July 24, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Monty and Liz Kuykendall.
He was born July 30, 1928, in Wheelock to John Calvin and Annie Belle (Hardin) Kuykendall.
On Feb. 20, 1976, he married Donna Mae Thompson in Pasadena.
Mr. Kuykendall retired from the U.S. Post Office after 37 years of service.
He lived in Cameron since 1983. Once arriving in Cameron, he grew and harvested pecans, along with raising cattle.
Mr. Kuykendall was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Ann Lovell; and a granddaughter, Donna Jo May, and her twin sons.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Kuykendall of Cameron; a son, Monroe (Monty) Edward Jr. and wife Liz of Cameron; a daughter, Jeannie McLerran and husband Mike of Cameron; a brother, Wayne Kuykendall of Tomball; a sister, Kathleen Honea of Houston; and a sister-in-law, Vera McNickle of Enid, Oklahoma; also, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
