Nancy Hall Leshikar, 86 of Thrall passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
She was born to Henry and Julia Tiemann on Aug. 21, 1937, in Taylor.
Nancy graduated from Thrall High School in 1955 and shortly after she married her high school sweetheart, Gerald Ray Hall on June 5, 1955. Together they raised three sons—Dudley Ray Hall, Darrell Lee Hall and Darren Allan Hall.
Nancy served her community for many years in many ways. She was a church council member at St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall, where she was a devoted member. Nancy was also a school board member at Thrall ISD, she loved her Thrall Tigers.
She retired as branch manager at Guaranty Bank in Taylor, after working many years in the banking industry.
In her free time Nancy enjoyed taking care of the farm, from feeding the cows to working in the garden.
After being a widow for many years, Nancy married Howard Leshikar on Aug. 17, 2013, surrounded by close friends and family.
She was predeceased by her late husband, Gerald Hall; a son, Darrell Hall; her parents; in-laws Ray and Modene Hall; sister-in-law Anna Hakes; brothers-inlaw Benton Hall and Dale Hall; and her siblings, Gertude Wright Scott, Henry Tiemann and Clarence Tiemann.
Survivors are her husband, Howard Leshikar; sons Dudley Hall (wife Vicki) and Darren Hall (wife Cheryl); daughter-in-law Donna Hall; stepsons Ryan Leshikar and Cody Leshikar; her grandchildren, Haley Slaughter (husband Jace), Cale Hall (wife Raelyn), Reese Hall (Matt Lopez), Zachary Hall (wife Tiffany), Julia Stanford (husband Jared), Catherine Scruggs (husband Kollen), Olivia Hall, Corey Bush, Clifton Bush, Malissa Mieth (husband John), Deanna Davidson (husband Heath) and Emily Hall; as well as many great-grandchildren, Jaideyn, Traycen, Teagen Slaughter, Charli and Jax Lopez, Caylen and Maysen Hall, Greyson and Hunter Hall, Ava, Emily, and Beau Stanford, Harper Scruggs, Trent Crawford, Lacie and Reece Bush, Myla Stokes, Brentley Mieth, Everlee Jonse, and Callan Davidson.
Nancy is also survived by nieces Clarice Taylor, Donna Armstrong, Cathy Williamson, Pam Cichowski, Shelley Kohl, Rochelle Schwarz, Christy Lane, Stephanie Hall, Leslie Martinez; and nephews Bill Wright and Curtis Tiemann; also, many great-nieces and nephews, as well as an abundance of wonderful cousins and friends.
Visitation was held Monday, March 11, at St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall.
Funeral service were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, also at St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall, followed by a meal provided by members of the church.
Burial followed the meal at the Adina Christian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Zach Hall, Cale Hall, Jared Stanford, Kollen Scruggs, Clifton Bush and Cody Leshikar.
Honorary pallbearers were Jace Slaughter, Matt Lopez, Heath Davidson, Corey Bush, John Mieth and Ryan Leshikar.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall.
