Jerry Dean “KO” Lucero, 52, of Rockdale died Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Phi l lips & Lucke y Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Visitation will also be Saturday from 2 p.m. until service time.

Mr. Lucero was born Aug. 16, 1970, to Patsy Lucero in Amarillo.

He attended Rockdale High School.

Mr. Lucero worked as an auto body shop detailer and was an extremely talented carpenter and artist.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Lucero, and two brothers, Joey Anthony Lucero and Steven Montelongo.

Survivors are his father, Chon Montelongo Sr.; a sister, Tamara Lucero Hernandez; and five brothers, Chon Montelongo Jr., Lupe Montelongo and wife Linda, Alonzo Montelongo and wife Jennifer, Rick Montelongo and wife Laura, Anthony Montelongo and wife Connie; also, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations for funeral expenses.
