CALDWELL—Matthew Scott Eichinger, born on April 25, 1989, in Rockdale tragically passed away on June 8, 2024.

A visitation in memory of Matthew was held at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The funeral service took place at the same location on Saturday, June 15, at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Chriesman Cemetery.

Matthew’s adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were evident in everything he did. An avid outdoorsman and collector, he found peace and joy in nature, especially while hunting and fishing. His commitment to his hobbies reflected his free-spirited nature and zest for life.

He was known for his unwavering dedication to his craft as a self-employed welder, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and passion for his profession.

Among his proudest accomplishments were being a devoted father to Beaux Kenton McBride and Harper June Eichinger; a caring brother to Joshua Eichinger; a loving son to Larry Eichinger and Alice Eichinger; and a proud uncle to Kently, Jessa and Kody Eichinger. Matthew’s family meant the world to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

In his journey through life, Matthew touched the hearts of many. His fiancée Abby Graves held a special place in his heart and they shared a bond that was truly remarkable. Together with their loved ones, they created memories that will forever be treasured.

In addition to his immediate family mentioned above, he is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Alice Eichinger.

He was preceded by his grandparents, Don “Gramps” and Cheryl Jones.

Pallbearers were Joshua Eichinger, Justin Agee, Joshua Legg, Chad Hughes, Chad Groce and Brandon Stanislaw.

Honorary pallbearers were Tanner Towery, Beaux McBride, Kently Eichinger, Kody Eichinger, Zackary Greig and John Graves.

Matthew will be deeply missed by numerous other relatives and friends who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Matthew’s departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. May his kind soul rest in eternal peace as his memory lives on through the love he shared and the impact he made on those around him.
