Our mother was a very strong and sweet woman and very full of love.
Our mother was known as “Mom-Maw” to all the grands and great-grands. She has 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who she always tried to find the time to show up for sports games, birthdays or whatever it happened to be. She devoted her life to her family (children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren). She loved taking care of everyone and being involved in everything they did.
She would spend lots of time in the kitchen preparing wonderful meals no matter how many showed up. You were always welcome to her home, no matter how long it needed to be.
She was a very artistic person. She had a passion for gardening and taking care of her plants. She enjoyed her church, sewing and crafting.
Our childhood days were filled with Sunday afternoon drives in the country and maybe even getting to stop for ice cream cones.
We spent lots of weekends enjoying the river, lakes or ocean. They loved the water.
One of her many traits was that she always put everyone else first before herself.
She was a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, a little bit best friend!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn McGuire on Nov. 22, 2017; her parents, Richard Hunter and Grace Delaney; a brother, Richard Delaney; a daughter-in-law, Carol McGuire; and a great-grandson, Jorden McGuire.
Surviving are her children, Sherry Isaacs and husband Leonard of Fairfield, David McGuire and wife Anna of Broaddus, Caron Winfree and husband Rollie of Teague, Dwain McGuire of Rockdale, Larry McGuire and wife Lori of Orange, Gary McGuire and wife Vicki of Georgetown; 10 grandchildren, Tammy Gawryszewski and husband Bryan, Scott Isaacs and wife Shonda, Jamie Isaacs and wife April, Kelly Niemann and husband Blake, Lindsey Eubanks and husband Brian, Jessi Williams and husband Larry, Cody McGuire, Tyler McGuire, Megan McGuire, and Cole McGuire; 11 great-grandchildren, Cooper and Cali Gawryszewski, Madilynn, Makensy, Hunter, Jacy and Takoda Isaacs, Kaylynn and Hudson Niemann, Rylee and Garrett Eubanks; one great-grandson and one great-great-granddaughter on the way; and numer ous step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will forever be in our hearts!
