Mireles

Mary Ann Mireles, 79, a lifelong

resident of Rockdale, died Monday, April 24, 2023.

No services are planned at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Ms. Mireles was born Jan. 25, 1944, to Francisco and Maurine (Tovar) Mireles in Rockdale.

She graduated from Rockdale High School and worked for Renaissance Villa, formerly Boswell Nursing Home, as a certified nursing assistant and medication aide for 40 years.

Ms. Mireles was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rockdale.

She loved her family above all else and all of the big family get-togethers brought her great joy. She loved spending time with all of her family, especially her nieces and nephews, many of whom she helped raise.

Ms. Mireles enjoyed reading and doing word search puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents and great-niece Sara Johnson.

Survivors include sisters Maurine Mendez and husband Amelio of Delray Beach, Florida, Rosie Johnson and husband JB, Becky Green and husband Richard, Paula Sides and husband Robert, all of Rockdale; and brothers Frank Mireles and wife Victoria of Santa Clarita, California, Robert Mireles and wife Lydia of Tyler, John Mireles and Basilia of Rockdale, Mike Mireles of Temple; also, numerous nieces and nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
