Christene (Chris) Har t Wall, 99, of The Woodlands passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2024.
She was born April 8, 1925, to Jake Hart and Eudora Massey in Calvert.
She married George Wall of San Antonio in 1950. They moved to Rockdale in 1953, then relocated to The Woodlands in 2018.
Chris was a homemaker who helped raise three children while her husband worked at Alcoa and later in Austin.
She was a loving wife and mother with a gift for nurturing and encouraging others. She was a grandmother and great-grandmother who provided a model of devotion, promoting constant love to others, encouraging hard work to achieve goals, all while grounded in Christian values.
She was a devoted member of St. John’s Methodist Church for 65 years, faithfully supporting its pastors and members.
Chris possessed a quick wit and enjoyed entertaining family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Bill Hulsey and six siblings, Helen Hart, Elvin Hart, Jack Hart, Homer Hart, Don Hart and Dwain Hart.
Survivors are her husband, George Sr. of 73 years; and three children, George Jr. (Martha) of Devine, Keith (Missy) of Huntsville and daughter Diane Galownia (Paul) of Conroe; also, nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale on Friday, Aug. 23, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 11.
Burial will be in Calvert later Friday.
