Funeral services for Timothy August Otte, 66, of Lexington were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Rev. Reagan Seaton officiating.
Graveside services followed at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
Mr. Otte was born in Houston on Sept. 22, 1955, to Raimond August Otte and Reba Mae (Riedel) Otte.
He departed this world on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at his home in Tanglewood on the family ranch.
Mr. Otte graduated from Katy High School in Katy. He attended Sam Houston State University and graduated with a degree in agriculture business in 1978.
He utilized his degree in farming and ranching. He was a partner in Otte Brothers Farm & Ranch and was also a partner in Bar A7 Ranch.
Mr. Otte was a proud supporter of the Lee County Junior Livestock Show, Tanglewood Volunteer Fire Department, and the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department/Lions Club annual event.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jerry W. Otte; his brother-in-law, Joe French; his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors are wife Ann, sons Taylor and Tyler Otte, sister Rebecca Otte French, niece Joan French Jackson and husband Kirby, nephew Raimond French and wife Madeline, sister-in-law Pam Otte, nephews Jonathan and Jacob Otte, father-in-law Jerry Shelton Sr., brother-in-law Jerry Shelton Jr., and niece Andrea Shelton.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Otte, Raimond French, Kirby Jackson, London Jacobs, Eladio Perez, Brad Albrecht, and Brandon Brody.
Honorary pallbearers w ere Damon Burlin, Royce Albrecht, Herbert Cook, and Ira Poole.
