Harold Clifford Parker, 85, of Rockdale passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Baylor, Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Salty Cemetery near Thorndale.

A visitation will be held on from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Harold was born on March 25, 1939, to Dan and Alice Parker in San Saba County.

He proudly served in the United States Army as a PFC from 1962 to 1968.

He was a rancher. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He always looked forward to family gathers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Alice Parker; and siblings Carmen Moses, Bernice Stiles Able, Irene Collins, Mae Belle Parker, Johnny Parker, William “Bill” Parker and Shelvie Parker.

Harold is survived by David and Melissa Parker of Thorndale, Nelda and John Paul Weaver of Gilmer, Melissa Irby of Llano, and Tracy and Ronnie Davenport; a cousin, Howard Stiles of Poteet; numerous great-nephews and nieces and great-great-nephews and nieces; close friends, Jeff and Denise Muegge, Wes Payne and Edwin Morrison, all of Thorndale; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice, BSW Hospice Team, BSW ICU nurses, Dr. Sharma, Dr. Whitney White, Standards Home Health, and a special thank you to the doctor, nurses, and staff at Legacy Rehab & Nursing Home.
