Peggy Jo Stauffer

Funeral services for Peggy Jo Stauffer, 83, of Rock-dale were held Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Matt Higginbotham of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial was at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mrs. Stauffer died Tuesday, April 23, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

She was born June 13, 1935, in Petrolia to Braxton B. and Elsie M. (Yoakum) McQuinn.

She was a 1953 graduate of Rockdale High School and was a majorette.

On March 16, 1954, she married William “Billy” Stauffer at First Baptist Church in Rockdale.

Mrs. Stauffer was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and bowling and took pride in her home and yard.

She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stauffer was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Stauffer on Sept. 27, 1999; her parents; a sister, Mary Ellen McQuinn Brannon on April 16, 1971; and a brother, James Bruce McQuinn on May 19, 2002.

Survivors are a son, Ronnie Stauffer and wife Debbie of Rockdale; two daughters, Retta Stauffer and Robbie Breithaupt, both of Rock-dale; a sister, Jean Alford of Rockdale; four grandchildren, Danette Carlson and husband Travis, Addie Stauffer Finch and fiancé J.J. Mikulencak, Lane Doss Stauffer and wife Keelie, Justin Breithaupt and wife Jenny; and five great-grandchildren, Madison Flores, Raeghan Carlson, Karley Breithaupt, Kaleb Breithaupt and Parker Finch.

Pallbearers were Lane Stauffer, Justin Breithaupt, Kenny Alford, Elvis McQuinn, Johnny Kaderka, Owen Smith, Billy Breithaupt and Randy Morgan.
