Pevehouse

Charles Pevehouse, 85, of Rockdale died Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at his home in Rock-dale.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Matt Higginbotham of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mr. Pevehouse was born Aug. 15, 1933, in Maysfield to Ina Mamie (Sapp) and John W. Pevehouse Sr.

He served in the U.S. Army as a mechanic in Germany.

Mr. Pevehouse had been a Rockdale resident for the past 60-plus years.

On Oct. 26, 1957, he married Lola Ray in Rockdale.

He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Mr. Pevenhouse was preceded in death by his wife, Lola on March 16, 2013; a grandson, Charles Keith Pevehouse in 2001; his parents; three sisters, Ruth Mosely, Mildred Yates and Alma Patzke; and four brothers, John Jr., Nathan, Virgil and Jesse Pevehouse.

Survivors are three sons, Jeffery Pevehouse and John Davis, both of Rockdale, Robert Pevehouse of Cypress; two daughters, Rebecca Pevehouse Davis and Melissa Davis Shipley, both of Rockdale; and a brother, Thomas Pevehouse of Taylor; also, eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Adam Pevehouse, Jason Gilbert, Nick Shipley, John Jackson, John Davis and Jonathan Pevehouse.
