Powell

Hank Powell, 65, of Rock-dale died Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

Services were held Sunday, Dec. 22, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with burial at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rock-dale.

Mr. Powell was born in Andrews on Oct. 25, 1954, to George Jefferson and Dellia Myrle (Miller) Powell.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 9th Infantry Division as a corporal.

Mr. Powell was a Master Electrician and was employed by Texas Electric Services in Rockdale.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Jefferson and Dellia Myrle Powell; a brother, George “Bud” Powell; and a sister, Diane Martin.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Riojas of Rockdale; a son, Ray Powell of Rockdale; a daughter, Lori Powell and Rene Perez of Rockdale; two adopted sons, Cody Powell, Beau Powell and wife Misty, all of Willcox, Arizona; an adopted daughter, Brandie Bates and husband Herb of Willcox, Arizona; two sisters, Frances Emslie of Maydelle, Sue Lasley of Palatka, Florida; and four grandchildren, Madison Gonzales, Lindsey Powell, Mackenzie and Isaac Perez.

Pallbearers were Shannon Martin, Rene Perez, Ricky Riojas Sr., Ricky Riojas Jr., Thomas Riojas, Tommy Riojas, and Adam Lopez.

Honorary pallbearers were Ray Powell, Isaac Perez and Kaison Kolar.
