Quinney

Judith Holmes Quinney, 70, died Nov. 20, 2017, in Bryan. As per her wishes, she was cremated. On Mothers Day, May 13, 2018, her family placed her ashes in the Pacific Ocean at Mendocino, California, as per her wishes.

Mrs. Quinney was born July 26, 1947, at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas to Olen Francis Holmes

and Opal Marie (Sanders) Holmes.

Her family moved to Rock-dale in 1954, where her father was employed by Alcoa. Her mother operated the S&H Green Stamp store in downtown Rock-dale.

Mrs. Quinney was a 1965 graduate of Rockdale High School and later attended Southwest Texas State.

She was a member of First United Methodist in Anderson.

Mrs. Quinney was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Lester D. Quinney; a son, Mark B. Williams; a brother, Garry 0. Holmes and wife Carloyn; and two stepsons, Lyndon Blair Quinney and wife Kennetha, and Shan O’Dean Quinney; also, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
