Richards

Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Richards will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rock-dale. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Ms. Richards was born Sept. 5, 1926, to Lillie Mae Thomas and RB Richards.

She married Ulesly “Jim” Conner in the late 30s.

Ms. Richards had 13 children which she had in Milam County and west Texas for early years.

She moved to Austin in the late 60s where she was a well known housekeeper until she retired at 78 years old.

Ms. Richards gave her life to Christ at an early age in the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie Mae and RB Richards; her husband, Ulesly Conner; three daughters, Dorothy Alexander, Lessie Mitchell and Barbara Conner; three sons, Clifford Conner, LJ Conner and Ronnie Conner; two grandsons, Julian Charles Mitchell and Derrick Kennie; and a granddaughter, Wanda Leann Mitchell.

Survivors are three sons, RB Conner, Ulesly Conner and Billy Ray Conner; four daughters, Laura Mitchell, Elizabeth Freeman, Patsy Rivers (Lester) and Marilyn Conner; a special niece, Betty Lou Stewart; and a special friend, Mary Crouch; also, 26 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
