Robert (Robby) Joseph Turner III
BLOOMINGTON, IN— Robert (Robby) Joseph Turner III passed through transition Tuesday morning, Aug. 6, 2024, in Bloomington, Indiana, after a lengthy battle with illness. He was 59 years of age.
Robby was born Feb. 20, 1965, in Sinton (San Patricio County) to Lisa and Bob Turner.
He is survived by his daughter of 19 years, Charli Marie Turner; two ex-spouses, Sammi Turner and Sheryl Hairston; and stepsons Geoffrey and Trent Baker.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Turner.
Robby spent many years in Rockdale, working for Alcoa, was re-hired after layoff with Alcoa Warrick Operations in Evansville, Indiana. He retired from Warrick Operations when it shut down and worked for Meade Johnson in Evansville, followed by contract supervision for General Motors plant in Bedford, Indiana.
Robby and Charli moved to Bloomington, Indiana, following a reduction in forces by General Motors, where he drove Uber until his illness manifested.
Robby’s passion in life was music, guitar and tennis. A life celebration will take place at his father’s ranch outside Harper at a future date.
