Siegmund

Funeral services for Kayla Ann Siegmund, 23, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at Forest Grove Christian Church in the Forest Grove community with Pastor Lance Walch officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery.

Ms. Siegmund died Saturday, Jan. 19, at St. David’s Hospital in Austin.

She was born March 31, 1995, in Austin to Wayne Lee and Rhonda Rena (Crim) Siegmund.

She lived the past 9½ years in Lexington and was formerly of Elgin.

She taught guitar.

Ms. Siegmund was a member of Forest Grove Christian Church, where she was also involved in the children’s ministry. She had Bible study with her friends, sometimes over the telephone.

Ms. Siegmund loved the Lord, enjoyed music, photography, art, videography, animals and being out in nature.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jerry Crim.

Survivors are her parents, Wayne and Rhonda Siegmund of Lexington; two brothers, Colton Siegmund, Wesley Rankin and wife Jenna, all of Lexington; her grandparents, Fay Crim of Lexington, Edmund Siegmund of Austin, Leslie Crofts of Elgin; a great-grandmother, Darline Baker of Fairfield, California; a niece, Cecily Rankin; a nephew, Angus Rankin; and special friends, Hallie and Kacey; also, a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
