Mary Diane “Suzy” Jones Stewart, 67, of Rockdale died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, at her home in Rockdale.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Stewart was born July 24, 1954, in Harrison, Arkansas, to Edward and Evelyn (Mattox) Jones.

On Dec. 17, 1976, she married Rodney Stewart in Forsyth, Missouri.

Mrs. Stewart loved spending hours with her children and grandchildren. She loved shopping for dresses, especially if it was free shipping. Looking for shells for hours on the white sands of Panama City Beach was her favorite thing to do and then spending more time creating shell masterpieces.

Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her father, Edward Jones; a brother, Steve Edward Jones; and a brother-in-law, George Jones.

Survivors are her husband, Rod Stewart; her sons, Michael Dean and wife Lela, David Dean, Josh Stewart and wife Taylor; her daughters, Heidi Easley and husband Bobby, Nikka Hardin and husband Scott; her mother, Evelyn McDonald; a sister, Sherry Jones; nine grandchildren, Kelsi Fields, Rylan Loewe, Kristin Brown, Brayden Dean, Bradley Hardin, Evan McDaniels, Pixie Easley, Jackson Stewart and Harper Stewart; and three great-grandchildren, Nayvie, Tawnie and Linkoln Brown.
