Trejo

A celebration of life service for Patric Allen Trejo, 24, of Rockdale will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, at Rockdale KC Hall with Pastor Willie Phillips officiating.

Visitation is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, also at the KC Hall.

Mr. Trejo died Thursday, July 18, in Fort Worth.

He was born Feb. 28, 1995, in Rockdale to Kendra Darnell Lexis and Paul Allen Trejo Sr.

Mr. Trejo accepted Christ and was baptized at Allen AME Church in Rock-dale, where he served as a junior usher. He was also involved in the Young Peoples Department (YPD).

He enjoyed cooking, lawn work, working flowerbeds, woodworking, kayaking, art, fishing and nature.

Mr. Trejo was a 2013 graduate from Rockdale High School. While in high school he participated in football, basketball and baseball, and was voted Mr. RHS at homecoming his senior year.

Upon graduation, he attended Texas State University in San Marcos majoring in health administration.

While in college, he met Hailey Gilder and they were married on Oct. 6, 2018.

Mr. Trejo was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Celestina Trejo.

Survivors are his wife, Hailey Adell Trejo; his parents, Kendra Darnell Lewis and Paul Allen Trejo Sr.; his grandparents, Elizabeth Johnson and Calvin Wayne Edwards (Linda); a brother Paul Trejo Jr. (Kimberly); and four sisters, Shamika Darnell, Shanika Darnell, Latisha Jovan Trejo and Mia DeShawn Trejo; also, three nieces and three nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family.
