Winkler
CAMERON—Franklin Paul Winkler, 80, of Cameron died Friday, March 11, 2022, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday, March 19, at St. Monica Catholic Church in Cameron with Rev. Barry Cuba officiating. Burial will follow at St. Monica Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m., followed by a rosary at 10:30 at the church.
Mr. Winkler was born June 13, 1941, in Cameron to Frank Anton and Pauline Rosena (Richter) Winkler.
He graduated from Cameron’s C.H. Yoe High School in 1959.
He worked for Graham Construction until joining the U.S. Navy in 1963.
After his discharge from the Navy in 1967, he worked as a USDA meat inspector until 1973, when he went to work for Texas Utilities. In 1989, Paul went to work at Alcoa at Sandow Mines and later J-Wal Ag Services in 2008.
He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Winkler was preceded in death by his parents and a a brother, William Winkler.
Survivors are a sister, Christine Winkler Riola of Cameron, and a sister-in-law, Reba Winkler of Cameron; also, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Memorials may be made to the St. Monica Window Restoration Fund or to St. Monica Cemetery.
