Yanes

Sally Perez Yanes, 67, of Rockdale passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at Scott and White Hospital in Temple.

She was born the daughter of Felipe Perez Sr. and Estella Perez in Tahoka on July 1, 1950.

She married her loving husband, Frank Yanes in Georgetown in 1970. They were parishioners of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger.

Sally was an avid bingo player who loved even more to spend time with her family, especially being a grandmother. She was known to always be a happy person who would help anyone in need. She was not just a good friend, but great and loving mother as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Juanita Perez Flores, Margarita Perez Hernandez, Elisa Perez Garcia; and one brother, Felipe Perez Jr.

Survivors include, her husband, Frank Yanes; four children, Macario Rodriguez Jr., Ricardo Yanes, Amanda Jean Yanes and Adelaide Gail Yanes; five siblings, Panfilo Perez, Obaldo Perez, Tino Perez, Jimmy Perez and Sarah DeLeon; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchilden and other family members.

Funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger with burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger.

A visitation was held Friday from 6 to 7 p.m., with a rosary from 7 to 8 p.m.
