Zawadzke

Barbara Ellis Zawadzke, 72, of Rockdale, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023, in Round Rock.

She was born on Sept. 19, 1950, to Ike Scarboro ugh and Zelma Elizabeth (Holliman) Ellis in Zawadzke Rockdale.

She was raised in the Forest Grove area and worked as a hairstylist.

Ms. Zawadzke was a member of Forest Grove Christian Church and the VFW Lady’s Auxiliary.

She enjoyed reading and loved the beach.

She was very artistic and well spoken. She had a free spirit and a gypsy soul.

Ms. Zawadzke was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Zelma Ellis; and brothers David Ellis, Sam Ellis and John Robert Ellis.

Survivor are her daughters, Nikki Nadeau, Zana Yakesch and Glenn Talley, Kara Clore and husband Mike; son Zachary Zawadzke and wife Adrianne; brother Doug Ellis and wife Sherry; sisters Linda Walker and husband Stephen, Peggy Bell Morton and husband Johnny; her grandchildren, Crystal, J.R., Chase, Ashley, Hannah, Patrick, Faith, Stefan, John Thomas, Zaylee, Zane, Zoë and Jaxon; also, nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 7, at Forest Grove Christian Church in Rockdale with Pastor Lance Walch officiating.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.
