BI-DISTRICT CHAMPS— The Thorndale Lady Dogs traveled to Giddings last week to take on the Snook Blue Jays in a bi-district matchup that ended with a big win in straight sets, 25-19, 25-9, 25-20. Thorndale then finished up their playoff season in Fayetteville in area competition against Flatonia; they lost in straight sets, 25-14, 25-14, 25-20. Congratulations to the Lady Dogs, who went undefeated in district play and finished as both district and bi-district champions. The following Lady Dogs earned All-District recognition: Offensive MVP, Kennedy Robinson; Defensive MVP, Allison Owens; Setter of the Year, Hadley Meadors; First Team All-District were Karley Breithaupt and Katelynn Zrubek; Second Team All-District was Kyla Daniell; with Honorable Mention to Jacie Leho and Reese Cloud. Recognized on Academic All-District were Hestin Ellington, Hadley Meadors, Allison Owens, Kyla Daniell, Katelynn Zrubek, Kennedy Robinson, Karley Breithaupt, Braelynn Bleeker and Reese Cloud.
