Young runners show promise

Wednesday afternoon was an emotional one for the friends and family of Jace Robinson, who signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Abilene Christian University close to eight months after breaking his right leg in the Tiger season opener on Aug. 28, 2020.
In an eight-year coaching career with stops in Sealy, Waco Conally, Hillsboro and, most recently, Nacogdoches, Rockdale High School grad Kortlin White is headed for the big time after being named the strength and conditioning coordinator at Lewisville, a Class 6A program on the rise that has made it to the playoffs the last three seasons under alum Michael Odle.

Monday was nothing out of order for the Lady Dogs, a team that has 10-run-ruled their opponents in all but three of their 13 District 27-2A contests.
