Milano native and professional boxer Ryan “Cowboy” Karl is training for the biggest fight of his life. He’s one match away from bringing the World Boxing Association superlight weight boxing title to Milam County for the first time ever.
With the University Interscholastic League (UIL) requiring schools to limit their spectators to 50% plus social distancing for the 2020-2021 season, RHS will not have season tickets this year. However, those that purchased tickets will be allowed to keep their seats for the following year.
Like most kids who play sports, I once had dreams of playing in the NFL. When I scored touchdowns or intercepted passes in the pee-wee leagues, you couldn’t convince me that I wasn’t going to be the next Jerry Rice or Champ Bailey.
RHS will have a meeting at 7 p.m. Friday to discuss the recent rulings of the UIL and protocols the school will put in place to ensure the student’s safety. The meeting will take place on Zoom. All high school parents will receive the link by email on the day of the meeting.
