Congratulations to the following Thorndale Dogs for their District 13 Class 2A-DI All-District football honors:

LAST WEEK Class 3A-DI— Franklin 50, Shepherd 16; Little River-Academy 39, Diboll 28; Lorena 55, Palestine Westwood 24.

The Lady Dogs are off to a fast start at 2-0. They have beaten Somerville and, most recently, Caldwell. The final score of that game was 26-11 This is a young team with only four players returning from last year. Head Lady Dog Coach Doug Franklin says, “Kassidy Franklin is going to be one of our best overall players. S he i s very aggressive, a great defender and she can score.” “We are learning a new offensive scheme and a different style of play, more up-tempo. We’ve been solid on defense and defense will be the strength of our team,” Coach Franklin added.
