Often times I use these column inches for some in-depth discussion on something. This week I thought I would just take some time and discuss a couple of items going on in Milam County. On any given day there are multitudes of items going on here in Milam County and a great deal of it flows through the County Judge’s Office. So, let’s talk about some of them.
Yvon Chouinard is the founder of the outdoor clothing and gear company Patagonia. He is a mountain climbing, surfing, f ly fishing 85-year-old who started his company by selling mountain climbing tools out of the back of his truck to fund his expeditions. Very organic.
In the reception office of a medical practitioner, I spied a pamphlet with the title: Born Again. Students of religion are immediately drawn to such tag lines. It was an intriguing read.
Dear editor, As a Rockdale resident and City Council member, I am always pleased when I learn of citizens who want to be more involved in the life of our community. There are so many ways to become active in, and supportive of, various aspects of community life.
