REPORTER EDITOR HONORED—Mike Brown Rockdale Reporter Editor, was honored for his 46 years—the past 22 as editor—service Monday in Milam County Commissioners Court. Brown and wife Sue accepted from (L-R), Commissioners Opey Watkins and Donald Shuffield, County Judge Steve Young and Commissioners John Fisher and Jeff Muegge. “He has told the truth about the county and, boy, we appreciate that,” Young said. “We just want to say a simple thank you.” Brown said: “I am proud of the awards I’ve been given but I am more proud of being from, and of, Milam County.
