Here are the calls for the Milam County Sheriff’s Department during the week.
The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department went out on a possible grass fire call Sept. 8 at 11:27 a.m.
A train passing through Rockdale had to stop after the conductor thought a man crossing the tracks had been hit by the train. Volunteer firefighters responded to a call around 7:57 a.m. on Thursday at Pear and Riley and found Julius Everage by the tracks. Everage was not hit by the train. He told authorities that the wind from the train caused him to lose his balance and fall. He was taken by ambulance to Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
Rockdale Police made one felony arrest over the past week that happened after a wreck.
