On Sept. 22 at approximately 7:15 p.m. Rockdale Police Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a white pickup operated by Kyle Jay Jones, who had active felony warrants through Travis County.

Vision Historic Preservation Foundation (Vision Rockdale) announces it will begin Phase One construction of the restoration of The 1895 in September 2022. Phase One encompasses restoring the south façade of the building to its original Arthur O. Watson Victorian Romanesque Revival architectural design. This phase includes rebuilding the iconic bell tower and cupolas, restoring the south 20% of the roof, removing the stucco and re-bricking the façade, and replacing the windows and doors with historically- accurate, energy-efficient reproductions.
