Chet Garner (R) of the popular PBS television show, “The Texas Daytripper,” entertained the crowd Saturday while filming one of his day trip episodes about Brett’s Backyard Bar-B-Que. On the left is Houstonian Jay Harbison who came in to watch the experience. In addition to watching the filming, the crowd was also treated to live music and award winning barbecue.

At Monday night’s city council meeting it was announced that east side councilwoman Michelle Larkin has resigned and is moving to Georgia just weeks before the May 7 election.
