We are always celebrating at Rockdale Intermediate. One of the things we celebrate is a math fluency program created by the company Formative Loop. We have nicknamed this program, “Tiger Math.”
Vision Historic Preservation Foundation collaborated with their architectural team, Architexas, TxDOT and Big Creek Construction to clarify design plans in front of The 1895. Work is set to begin and will correct both the accessibility of the sidewalk as well as the downstairs entrances.
The 2022 theme for Black History Month focuses on the importance of Black Health and Wellness. The theme, according to the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, acknowledges the legacy of not only Black scholars and medical practitioners in Western medicine, but also other facets of activity, rituals and practices to be well. These practices may include health and wellness through alternative medicine, preventative medicine, mental health and wholeness, midwives, doulas, herbalists, naturopaths and many more.
The Milam County Coalition consisting of Milam County government, the City of Rockdale and the City of Cameron, will now own a Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) thanks to donations from the six solar farms coming to Milam County.
