The Milam Touch of Love, a non-profit group that saves domestic pets all over Milam County, will have a fundraiser on Dec. 12 from noon to 4 p.m. at Brett’s Backyard Bar-B-Que.
AUSTIN—On Tuesday, Nov. 23, Gov. Greg Abbott’s major economic announcement was no surprise to the people of Williamson County.
In an interesting turn of events at last Monday’s Rockdale Municipal Development District (MDD) meeting, the industrial property, purchased by the MDD several years ago, needs to be zoned as either residential or commercial. When the property was purchased there was a definite plan to use it as an industrial site and all of the utilities such as water, electricity and sewer were already in place.
Vision Historic Preservation Foundation will present a unique fundraising event called the Lone Star Jazz Party at The 1895 (old city hall) on Burleson Street in historic downtown Rockdale on Saturday, Dec. 11.
