The fifth annual Field of Honor will include the “Cost of Freedom” American Veteran Traveling Tribute. The display includes the 80 percent replica of the Vietnam Wall and 72 additional panels that pay tribute to veterans of all other wars.
Due to a donation from the Hotel Occupancy Tax funds by the city of Rockdale to the Milam County Historical Commission’s Preservation Grant Fund, a Rockdale Preservation Grant is now available for historic preservation.

COOKIES FOR CLINICS—Pi Epsilon, local chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, recently delivered cookies to Rockdale medical clinics and first responders to show appreciation for their services. Pi Epsilon was started in Rockdale in 1979 as Alpha Tau Delta, a service sorority, not affiliated with any school or college. County Commissioners approved the proposed 2022 budget of $22,871,036 at Monday’s commissioners court and it may not raise taxes next year. However, depending on your valuation, property owners could still pay more than last year.
