Gov. Greg Abbott signed Senate Bill 1 into law, which will uphold the integrity of elections in Texas. The governor held the bill signing ceremony in Tyler, where he was joined by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and the authors of the bill—Sen. Bryan Hughes and Rep. Andrew Murr.

TOP BUSINESS—The Knights of Columbus No. 7014 has been named Business of the Month. In attendance were (holding the sign, L) Grand Knight Kenny Svrcek and (R) District Deputy Tom Alejandro, surrounded by some of the KC members and their spouses who volunteer and staff the hall at various activities and events. For over 40 years the KC Hall has hosted wedding receptions, dances, bingo, blood drives, funerals, fish fries, fundraisers, benefits and more for various community groups and individuals in Rockdale and Milam County.
EL CAMINO REAL DE LOS TEJAS MURAL—Rockdale Earth Day’s signature mural was completed by mural artist, Sam Welty, on the Rockdale MDD building this past weekend.
