Police arrest six during week; one accident reported

The Rockdale Police Department made six arrests with one each for family violence, assault, possession of a controlled substance (less than 28 grams), public intoxication, driving with license invalid and no driver’s license.
Vietnam replica in Georgetown for event

The fifth annual Field of Honor will include the “Cost of Freedom” American Veteran Traveling Tribute. The display includes the 80 percent replica of the Vietnam Wall and 72 additional panels that pay tribute to veterans of all other wars.
Historical grant applications available

Due to a donation from the Hotel Occupancy Tax funds by the city of Rockdale to the Milam County Historical Commission’s Preservation Grant Fund, a Rockdale Preservation Grant is now available for historic preservation.
