FORT WORTH—Earlier this month, Milano High School sophomore Breyton Steinbecker caught a calf during the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s calf scramble, winning himself a $500 certificate and a chance to earn up to $16,000 in scholarships from the organization.
In what was a game of streaks, the Rockdale Lady Tigers had theirs at the wrong time, as Rogers took over late in the fourth quarter to build a 10-point lead before ultimately taking down Rockdale last Tuesday night in Milam County, 49-45.
On Friday night, RHS baseball and softball players got to see opposing competition for the first time this season with the Tigers scrimmaging with Rosebud-Lott, while the Lady Tigers scrimmaged with Holland on the other side of the parking lot.
