ALUMNI SOFTBALL

ALUMNI SOFTBALL—This Saturday, the Lady Tiger Softball Field will host the Rockdale Alumni Softball game to help raise money for the Rockdale Girls Softball League. The opening ceremony will be at 5:30 p.m., with the actual game starting at six. Closing ceremony will be at 8 with an after party at The Ranch at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children. For people interested in helping with the event or purchasing a shirt, e-mail rockdalealumnisoftball@gmail.com. The game will be played in memory of Alex Sandoval, a local youth who passed away from brain cancer in May.

Rockdale’s competitive swim team, Wake Aquatics, had a successful meet Saturday. According to social media, they are grateful that the “community has their back.” Pictured at right is team member Hayden Wagner.
