This past Sunday afternoon at Thorndale Volunteer Fireman’s Recreational Hall, THS junior Branson McCoy and senior Ashley Pesl were named Outstanding Male and Female athlete at the school’s athletic banquet.
Under former head coach Scott Hawkins, the Thorndale Bulldog football team threw the ball only 28 times during the entire 2019 season.
Rockdale High School graduate Frances King finished up her second collegiate season being named to the Lone Star Conference’s Second Team after averaging 11.2 points, 4 assists and 3.6 rebounds in the 18 games that she started during the 2020-21 season for Midwestern State University.
Due to inclement weather all around the state, Rockdale’s seven-on-seven squad wasn’t able to play in Needville’s State Qualifier Tournament this past Saturday.
Last week, it was reported by msn. com that Rockdale native Le’Raven Clark would be leaving the Indianapolis Colts after four seasons to join the Philadelphia Eagles.
