Milano fought back in Bartlett Thursday morning after the Bulldogs scored five runs in the first inning and another five in the third.
Rockdale High School powerlifting’s award-filled year came to a close in Corpus Christi Thursday with senior Mackenzie Musto taking home a bronze medal, Alondra Rubio placing fifth, Jesenia Navarro finishing in eighth and Jena Locklin ending the meet in 12th.
Not only did Thorndale High School hold their first meet on their re-surfaced track Thursday, but the site was also host to THS senior Michael Herzog leaping for what is now a national best after the Bulldog made 50’4” in the triple jump.
What started off as a nail-biter between Thorndale and Bremond ended as a 15-5 victory for the Lady Dogs.
Rockdale Lady Tigers couldn’t overcome Academy in a 10-0 loss last Tuesday on the road. The state’s 11th-ranked team in Class 3A did a lot of scoring early and had pitching that RHS head coach Meghann Infantino described as the best pitching she’d seen all year.
