Ever since Alcoa left we have all talked about finding a replacement.

The worst part of becoming the editor last week is that my right-hand man, Shannon Whorton, is on a well-deserved vacation to the Grand Canyon this week. He’s the one who makes sure the paper looks nice and makes us all look good.

The lesson of presidential power is not learned from how it is exercised in the best of times but how it manifests in crisis. In crisis come mistakes and from mistakes hopefully come knowledge to improve future decisions.
