Knights of Columbus Council 7014 has donated $250 to the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce’s annal drive to provide free fans during the summer for persons who need them, Charlie Watson of KC Council 7014 made the check presentation to Denise Brock, Chamber executive director.
The Rockdale Police Department recently received a gift basket from Rockdale Walmart, part of the store’s community appreciation work. Police Lt. Stephen Goodrich accepted the gift at Walmart. It was presented by Melissa Dovalina (R), local store manager, and Walmart associate Terrace Mitchell. The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department also received a gift basket. The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce honored Classic Bank as its Business-of-the-Month for May. The Chamber is playing “catch up” during June in publicizing its past awards due to inaction over the COVID-19 virus. Mammoth-sized 2020 graduation parade started in intermediate school parking lot, wound its way around all sections of Rockdale and ended at Milam Avenue downtown.
