SCHOOL SUPPLIES—Volunteer Kort Pounders gives away school supplies to a happy ‘customer’ on Saturday at the VFW Post 6525’s annual school supply giveaway. This successful event helped 455 students to be ready for school in a few weeks. Kort was one of many volunteers from the VFW, RPD, the Chamber of Commerce and AWARE Central Texas.

On July 31, Meadowbrook Baptist Church gathered for their Fellowship Dinner. “However, it was no ordinary dinner,” said Pastor Steve Ammons. “We gathered to say thank you to our long-serving office manager, Becky Phillips. Becky has served in her role as office manager for 20 years. She has served faithfully over the years helping the staff and members with whatever they need.
