Deborah Currey, Lou Ann Rubio, Jane Katz, Gloria Walker, Victoria Everett St. John and JoAnn Bradford had a lively conversation solving all the world’s problems on Friday when the Lucy Hill Memorial Library restarted their First Friday Coffee events after a hiatus due to the pandemic. BUSINESS OF THE MONTH—The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce awarded Snap Fitness as the business of the month for July. Snap Fitness is managed by Ric Rodriguez and is located at 734 West Cameron Avenue. QUILT AUCTION—Rosalinda Braun (L) and Carolyn Cooper show off a quilt that will be auctioned to raise money for the Senior Center on Green Street. Braun came up with the idea and enlisted the help of Leslie Tingey, Sis. Kathie Bingham and Alexis Eiland to help. Call Braun at 254-500-7282 for tickets.

I’m going to lose a few of you with this recipe. There seems to be no middle ground about bleu cheese. People either love it or hate it. As for me, it is hands down my favorite cheese of all.
